Jack Chang is the founder and a Managing Director at DGP Capital, an independent investment bank focused on early/growth-stage technology-oriented energy and industrial companies.
Jack has executed over $4 billion in transactions within the energy and industrial sectors, including M&A, Initial Public Offerings, and Private Placements. He holds Series 79, 63 and 82 licenses*.
Prior to DGP, Jack was a Director within GE Venture’s Oil and Gas Investment team. While at GE Ventures, he focused on technology-enabled midstream, downstream and process industry investments.
Prior to GE Ventures, Jack was an Associate Director within UBS’ Global Natural Resources Investment Banking group. While at UBS, he executed transactions for upstream, midstream, downstream and oil-field service companies. Before joining UBS, Jack was a member of Tyco International’s corporate strategy and business development team. Jack earned his BS in Electrical Engineering and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Denis Potapov is an Executive Director at DGP Capital and has nearly 20 years of experience within the energy sector.
Prior to DGP, Denis was an executive at Independent Commodity Intelligence Services (ICIS), a global leader in energy-related data, analytics, and market research.
Before ICIS, he was an executive at PGS, a global geophysical services company, where he focused on strategy, M&A and corporate management.
Denis earned his BS in Geophysics from the University of Texas at Austin, and his MBA from Kingston University in London
John Lionberger is a results-driven executive with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability. With full operational and P&L responsibility for organizations of 600+ staff with revenues exceeding $350 million, John is a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of strategic planning and implementation.
John's career began at Burns & McDonnell Engineering, where he led the newly formed Houston Regional Office in 1999. During his tenure, John was instrumental in growing the office from $1 million in revenue to over $350 million. He gained extensive experience with all aspects of S-Corp ESOP's, making him a recognized expert in this field.
After leaving Burns & McDonnell in 2012, John founded new engineering and construction divisions for Quanta Services (NYSE:PWR) and Stress Engineering. Prior to joining Stress Engineering, he advised the CEO on setting the company up as an ESOP to provide ownership transition.
In 2018, John joined a $200 million engineering firm as President and was elected to the Board of Directors. In this role, he had full operational, P&L, and risk management responsibility for the majority of the company's operating divisions in multiple locations.
Beyond his professional achievements, John is an active philanthropist, serving on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and Bradley University's College of Engineering Advisory Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Bradley University and several certificates of specialization from Harvard Business School Online and Private Board Governance and ESOP Governance from the Private Director's Association.
John's philanthropic interests extend to his alma mater, Bradley University, where he has funded an endowed scholarship and contributed to the development of the convergence center merging the engineering and business schools. Additionally, he worked with his church to build the first trade school in Burundi, Africa, which has become the model for trade schools throughout the country. With his extensive experience, strategic mindset, and commitment to ESOPs and philanthropy, John is an invaluable asset to any organization.
Doug Richardson serves as an Executive Advisor at DGP Capital and has over 25 years of banking experience.
Prior to DGP, Doug was a Director within the Global Transactions Division at Bank of America. While at Bank of America, he focused on working capital and global trade solutions for companies in the middle market as well as oil and gas industry located in Texas and Florida.
Prior to Bank of America, Doug was a Senior Vice President and Team Leader within Fifth Third Bank and KeyBank holding various positions in Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Lending, and International Banking focused on middle market to large corporate clients located in the Midwest and Southeastern US.
Doug received his BA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and his MBA in Finance from the University of Akron.
Matt Masterton serves as a Managing Director of Business Development at DGP Capital and has 20 years of financial services, P&L management, and business development experience.
Prior to DGP, Matt held various business development and client management roles at several accounting and financial services firms serving the middle market. Before embarking upon his career in financial services, he was an executive recruiter.
Matt received his BBA in Management from Texas Tech University and is an active member of various non-profits that utilize sports and athletics to mentor at-risk youth.
